Fans of Monopoly rejoice! For everyone else just pass 'GO'
Customer Rating:
I'll admit right now that I've never really played Monopoly but it's a game that I've always been aware of (it inevitably was always the game found in the cupboards of holiday cottages around the country - normally with several pieces missing). The reason that I decided to give it a go was because, having previously purchased Trivial Pursuit for the Xbox360 (and which offered fast-paced, enjoyable gaming) I decided to give another boardgame-turned-video game a try (especially since Monopoly also boasted a quick 30 minute game mode).
In total I played the game for about 25 minutes before turning it off and never wanting to see the Monopoly man again.
The quick multiplayer mode was so dull - you have no real sense of participation. You just press the button to roll the dice and then watch the Monopoly man do all the work as he trundles around the board. The mini-game's offered in this mode are also dull. So after twenty minutes of the 30 minute multiplayer mode it was quit. I then tried the single player mode to see if it had more to offer - it didn't. Press the button to roll the dice. Watch the Monopoly man wander around the board. Fall asleep.
Now if you happen to be a fan of Monopoly then please ignore everything that I've just said - you will probably love this game. However, if like me, you just fancied a game that was a bit different from the norm (and most importantly, fast and entertaining) then my advice is to leave the Monopoly man behind and purchase Trivial Pursuit instead.
This is one to miss.
Pass go and collect your salary!

Good fun to play with friends and competitive game play is present when playing campaign mode.
With classic monopoly available and a whole new franchise mode this game can be played over and over again.
Overall, decent buy, 8/10, Cheers!
Mini games are good fun to play
Customer Rating:
Good game with several mini games and different boards to unlock as you play.
The computer does most of the hardwork for you and explains what's happening as the game moves along. There are shorter and longer games to play and there are different mini games to play within the Monopoly game itself, so you can get involved.
I wouldn't pay the RRP for the game, but it's definitely worth the money if you can find about a 40 percent discount.
yeh! monopoly
Customer Rating:
after reading some of the reviews how the computer a.i was dumb, i nearly skipped this game. but playing a few games on the highest difficulty level im delighted to find out that the computer players are smart. they trade between themselves to earn a monopoly for themselves, and offer you cards to try and get a set for themselves. the graphics are lovely and the way you unlock new boards is great. i aint tried the quick play mode yet or most of the mini games but that really aint what i bought it for. there aint no online option but i prefer playing the computer as it wont quit half way through a game. sound is ok i think, but if it grates you then turn the t.v volume down. im so happy to have a monopoly game that plays a good game against me, as i once owned a pc game that did have dumb, non aggressive computer players. you can play against up to 3 human players if you prefer to. i think this game deserves 5 stars you will too if you love monopoly.
You Get What You Buy
Customer Rating:
I have seen a lot of people slate this game.... royally tear it apart. To this I ask one simple question, what did you expect from the game ?
So there is no online play, well as someone said people get impatient and quit games so I don't blame that oversight. But I also think, what happened to the days when multiplayer meant getting some friends/family round for a bit of a laugh ? Why does everything have to have online play these days. I actually brought this game for two reasons.
1. I wanted a multiplayer game that me and my partner could chill and play, just relaxing at a nice chilled pace. Especially as she is not used to control pads. And I find it hard now to find fun simple to play multiplayer games without needing tonnes of controllers or worse still, the need to play online.
2. I like monopoly. Yes it takes a while to play, but can be very fun.
So what do you get with this game..... JUST THAT. MONOPOLY. You get what you intended to buy. Monopoly but instead of on a board, on your 360. Nothing more nothing less. If you don't like the sprite or the music in the game.. Do what I do.. turn off the sound and put on some music of your own. This game is designed so you don't need to have the volume up at all, so don't have it turned up if you don't want to listen to it.
So simply... Don't expect a revolution with this game, just expect what it says on the tin.... Monopoly.
Plus you do get some cool looking different boards.
