Great, do not take much space when you put them away or want to carry. However if you like playing the drums you should invest in a stand alone kit, it would actually take less space than laying these on your table and would be more comfortable to play on.

The MadCatz Portable Drum Kit is a must-buy for those who want a drumkit and doesn't have enough room space or doesn't want to spend a lot of money. The drum set is extremely quiet and well-responsive. The drumsticks that come along with the package are big and the rubber point makes it even more quieter.
I recommend buying one of those. It's cheap and works in any GH/RB game i've tried until now. And even those who already own a Rock Band/Guitar Hero drum kit should consider buying one of those for easy transportation to your friends house...

I have been a rock band expert drummer for over a year now and this is the best value product imo to take full advantage of the expert setting. its worth noting that i decided tp buy these as my rb1 drums were just dropping notes everywhere and it was getting very frustrating. i decided to buy the madcatz because pf the prices but had an ingenious idea! why not stick them over my originial pads on my drums to create a "pimped" kit. suffice to say that this makes playing incredibly fun and alot more acurrate if you want to go for those fc's however it is worth noting that these pads are great value IF you have a good level surface to put them on. if you are like me and your rb drums broke then do what i did and glue the new pads on top of the old ones for a modded kit. it is also worth noting that the standard footpedal is compaible with the madcatz pads set as the madcatz pad is a bit crappy imo.

There is no doubt that the guitar hero games are great fun and the thought of adding drums seemed a good idea. The price is excellent for the product but there are a few set backs.

The lack of a stand means finding a suitable surface, ideally a table of some sort. The other problem I have is that when playing upstairs, the noise seems to travel more than I would have thought. To solve this, we put a blanket on top of the table, then the drum pads on top of this, not the best but it really helps!

If you don't need to worry about the noise and you have something suitable to put it on then this is a great value product, if not you might be better trying to get the drums with the stand.
