Summary: Great sound at a great price
Comment: I bought these for my daughter's cheap portable CD player which now sounds better than my iPod (with
supplied phones). I also have some in-ear Sony MDR-EX71s which I got because the iPod phones don't
stay in my ears. The latter are supposed to have great bass - however the PX100s are miles better -
much fuller richer sound (and slightly cheaper from Amazon). These phones are compact (for on-ear
type) and very comfortable, the only slight down side (if you are using them on a portable player)
is sound leakage is much higher than in ear types.

Summary: good head phones minor flaws
Comment: I was really impressed by these even thought my first pair simply stopped working in one ear! My
current pair are going fine and for the money they make a world of difference to mp3 quality sound
and are tremendous on a good quality portable CD player. (A Good test song is "I'm Coming Out" !!
You can hear all the interweaved guitars so distinctly)However, be aware that the foam earpads fall
off and can be lost very easily leaving you with nasty cold plastic to peel off your ears, nice! I'd
glue them on if I was going to go out and about alot in these.

Summary: Great sound, but it all depends
Comment: Positive: the sound quality is astounding, coming from something so small and light; this goes for
the entire range - 15Hz to 27 kHz, which in itself is impressive. As the product description says,
the sound actually is "warm" and "natural", yet crisp and clean. The bass is really present at both
low and high volumes; you can not only hear it clearly, but physically feel the thump (even at a low
volume). One thing I've noticed is that some were disappointed when trying the headphones for the
first time - well, good ones, like the px100, generally do make poor quality music sound bad - it is
often the compression rate of the mp3, or whatever the file format, that makes the music sound bad
(poorer headphones generally don't make the same distinction).
Negative: according to
Sennheiser, these are great for "travel" and "outdoor activities", well if the outdoors and vehicle
of choice are REALLY quiet that is, if they barely make no noise at all. As a daily commuter on
public transport, I can not even hear the music some of the time - the sound is almost entirely
soaked by the outside environment, certainly by a loud bus, while only the loudest tones of that
impressive range persist. This might be good if you want to stay in touch with the rest of the world
while still listening to music, but if you want to ENJOY the music and relax from the rest, well,
then you're in for a downer.
In conclusion, these ARE good headphones, while at home or on the
street, but in a loud environment, certainly one of monotonous noise, some of the music
unfortunately vanes, sometimes to oblivion. So it all depends on how you're going to use them.

Summary: Perfect - for me.
Comment: I agree with the comments made by everyone else, positive and otherwise. The phones are
super-light, which is great, and they're not too bulky, so you don't have to worry about looking
like a tart when you're out and about. The sound quality is amazing for phones this cheap and esp.
considering the flimsy-looking design (which is not an accurate reflection of the phones' durability
- they are reliable).
However, there is leakage. I'm never one to care too much about what others
around can hear, so turning the volume up doesn't bother me, though I understand other people's
grievances with this. It does let in external sound, but not enough, in my opinion, to render the
phones useless. If anything, it just means that you're a little more aware of what's going on
around you than with earphones.
Overall, I recommend these phones over earphones and bulkier
Sennheiser models.
